3.2 BILLION WAS SPENT ON BOX HAIRCOLOR
In North America (2024)
"L'Oreal knows exactly how much money they're making from at-home haircolor and they take it very seriously. So should Beauty Pros."
THE SCHWARZKOPF "COLOR ON TOUR" CAMPAIGN
In North America (2024)
"Schwarzkopf used Beauty Pros and their new brand ambassador Sofia Vergara for their “Color on Tour” Campaign to generate and increase brand awareness and sales for their at-home haircolor market at Walmart.
The “Color on Tour” Campaign used an airstream mobile salon called “The Hairstream” that stopped at 18 Walmarts’ Nationwide in 2024. The main target audience was women aged 35 to 54 who color their hair- within that audience was women who color their at-home using other brands, and women who go to the salon for their color.
“We identified a lack of tools and education was the key barrier...So we prioritized education and engagement…Our central insight: While at-home color may feel risky, with the right tools and tutorial, it can become confidence in a box.” - Nancy Lu, Senior Brand Manager for Schwarzkopf Keratin Color, on using Beauty Pros to sell at-home haircolor."
THE PRO HAIRCOLOR MARKET IS NOT GROWING
"As reported by L'Oreal in their Annual 2024 Report, Pro Haircolor remains steady, it is not in a dynamic growth. When large corporations keep campaigning against Beauty Pros, yet use Beauty Pros to sell against Beauty Pros, we have a problem. No one in the Beauty Industry wants to discuss it, because they get paid by those brands."
This Is Not A Mutually Beneficial Relationship.
Bolder Beauty™ Will Always Put Beauty Pros First In Everything We Do.
Including Strategizing Ways To Get The At-Home Haircolor Market To DIY Haircolor Responsibly™
And Put Money Back In The Pockets Of Beauty Pros!
PIVOTING THE BEAUTY PRO MINDSET!
At-Home Haircolor Clients LOVE their At-Home Haircolor for its convenience, that will not change.
BUT they would also LOVE a more professional color service in their home!
The At-Home Haircolor Client Does Not Mind An Upsell for more specialized services in the salon.
Especially from a Beauty Pro they already know, which is You.
Stylists can suggest and upsell cleaning up color bands in their customer's hair or suggest a low-maintenance annual highlight or balayage to achieve the type of results their customer is looking for in-between At-Home Services.
All of your suggestions, during your In-Person Consult, will be written down on the Bolder Beauty™ Instructions Form that is left with your customer (after they have signed it and you have captured a visual confirmation).
You will keep your own personal records of their formulation, like any other client, so that you can fulfill their orders; if they choose to continue to have their order fulfilled by you.
All customers can choose to try another stylist in their area, but they will not have access to your formulation.*
Every order clients place will accrue points towards a discount up to 20% off a salon visit from their stylist (If the stylist has opted in). If the required points are not used, before their next order, they revert back to zero.
*Any diversion of customers from the Bolder Beauty™ Portal for customer orders will result in an immediate ban from our program and all other Bolder Beauty™ programs that the stylist may be affiliated with. All orders for our packaging will be cross-referenced to customer orders placed. Every stylist and every client will receive a feedback email to ensure quality of service.
DIY AT-HOME HAIRCOLOR
STATS EVERY BEAUTY PRO SHOULD KNOW!
"There Are More Women Coloring Their Hair At-Home
Than There Are Women Going To Salons For Haircolor."
"These numbers suggest that there are more women coloring their at-home than there are women going to salons for haircolor; the top reasons for this are cost and convenience possibly due to the maintenance of silver coverage and blonding; this also suggests women are coloring their hair more often at-home, up to 2x per month."
